Laser eye surgery added to Vision Care

BCCA Employee Benefits is excited to inform you of a new program change to the Vision Care benefit. The vision care benefit now includes laser vision correction surgery. Employees with the vision care benefit can now choose to apply their maximum benefit allowance to laser vision correction surgery in addition to or instead of corrective glasses and contact lenses. The government of Manitoba has announced a reduction of the retail sales tax (RST) from 8% to 7% effective July 1, 2019. If you have employees who live and work in Manitoba, you will notice a reduction in taxes charged for these individuals on your July 1, 2019 bill.
